On Oct. 19, police arrested Joshua Chiles in Orchard Lodge for dealing in cocaine, possession of a controlled substance, maintaining a common nuisance, possession of marijuana and possession of a narcotic drug.

Professor honored by Royal Historical Society

James Beeby, associate professor of history, was recently bestowed the title of fellow of the Royal Historical Society, the United Kingdom’s highest honor for historical academia.

Titles deserve ink

The Horizon printed Jacob Korff’s name in the Police Blotter last week. We printed that he was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. And, for the first time with any Blotter inclusion, we included his title, Student Government Association vice president. And we make no apologies for it.

Women’s basketball faces tougher schedule

The IUS women’s basketball team has already started practicing for the basketball season and the head coach, Robin Farris, said he is pleased with the team and their development so far this year.

Prices could be much worse

I was reading a snippet in this week’s paper called “10 ways to screw the student body” and I am not very pleased with how it was making fun of IU Southeast and the fact that no one had their name next to it. Who wrote that again?

E-mails get more annoying

Recently, I returned to IU Southeast after a few years away, and I was surprised to see that my e-mail continued to build up long after I left. A thousand of them stacked up in the three years I was gone.
